People say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that’s definitely true in my family! We need the energy before spending an entire day in the parks! So I’m going to let you in on our secret: there’s a buffet on Disney property that’s not too crowded, not hard on the wallet, and the food is delicious!
Nestled in a corner of Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground (NOT Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, but they are close in proximity) is Trail’s End Restaurant. In order to get there, you can take a boat from the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge or the Contemporary Resort, or bus from one of the parks, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, or Disney Springs. Due to the remote location, I never have an issue making an Advanced Dining Reservation for Trail’s End!
My family opts to go for breakfast at Trail’s End. They also do a great brunch on weekends, which is just a bit more expensive. (Breakfast is 19$ per adult, 11$ for kids/ Brunch is 23$ per adult, 13$ for kids). Because this is a non-character dining option, this breakfast buffet is quite affordable.
Their breakfast buffet boasts a wonderful variety of filling foods. You can find fresh fruit, yogurt (in adorable mason jars, sausage and bacon, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, breakfast pizza, biscuits and gravy, frittata, pastries, cheese grits, and everybody’s favourite, Mickey waffles! There’s also unlimited orange-mango juice which at Trail’s End is called Moonshine. They are also great at accommodating all dietary restrictions.
If you’re looking for a place to fuel up before a day at Magic Kingdom or want a leisurely breakfast on your day off, Trail’s End Restaurant has something for the whole family!
