My name is Victoria and I was born with Disney in my veins. My family and I have gone to Walt Disney World almost every year since I was born, and I am so grateful my parents instilled this passion in me when I was 18 months old. We also took a cross-continent road trip to Disney’s California Adventure!
When I turned 18, I knew I had to work for Disney, but I didn’t know how because I’m Canadian. The Epcot World Showcase program was an option, but I couldn’t take a year off of school. I decided to apply for the International College Program, which brings students from around the world to work at Walt Disney World during the summer and I got in! I was assigned Quick Service Food and Beverage at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and I absolutely loved it!
I had so much fun during my program that I applied again. This time, I was assigned to Animal Sciences at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! It was very out of my comfort zone (I work in legal affairs for television), but I learned so much about animals and conservation and for that I am incredibly grateful.
Now, I’m dreaming of the day I can return to Disney. I hope to see it real soon!
